Aisling Bea

Aisling B a was born 16 March 1984 in Kildare Ireland. Bea was on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, also than the stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984) is an Irish actress, writer and stand-up comic. Bea, who began appearing as bit roles in Irish or British television programs in 2009, began her career by performing stand-up comedy in 2011. In 2012 she was in sitcoms and sketch comedy. She began appearing regularly in panel shows following her win of an award from The Edinburgh Comedy Awards. From 2016 to 2017 she served as the team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats and a regular contestant in the show's spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The parents of her include Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. She has a younger sister, Sinead. She is only the second ever female winner of So You Think You're Funny. Bea, her maiden name, pays tribute to her dad who died in the year 2000. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born on the 16th of March, 1984, in Kildare Town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian passed away when he was just three years old. He was a horse vet. Bea wasn't told the particulars of his death away until she turned 13. In 2017, Bea wrote an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family. She also took on the stage name Bea in tribute. Bea's mother Helen, who is also a trainer for jockeys as well as a former professional jockey was responsible for raising her and Sinead. The family was passionate about horses and races. Bea began her career as a tourist guide at Irish National Stud. But she quickly realized that her true passion was performing and not racing.
